A whole life, in one take.

Sample film: Helen, a fictional person generated with AI, from age 1 to 60.

Choose photos from across their life. AI draws the motion from one photo to the next, so it all plays as one unbroken film.

Try a short preview first. Full-film plans are in development.

Three steps, one film

  1. Gather the photos

Choose them on your phone or computer, photograph old prints, or ask family to add theirs through a private link.

  2. Set the ages

Tell us roughly how old they are in each photo. The film follows the years in order.

  3. Watch, then approve

See your storyboard free. After you order, watch the whole film as a preview, re-shoot moments within your plan, and approve it when you’re happy.

How the guarantee works

What happens to your photos

  • You choose the person in the photo

Optional face detection runs on your device. If it does not find the person, you can mark their position yourself. To make the film, we upload your photo, the selected position and any optional framing. We do not store face-recognition templates or estimate anyone’s age.

  • Deleted on a schedule

We delete your photos, and the frames made from them, 30 days after your film is delivered. The film stays online for 12 months, or 3 years with Heirloom. You can delete everything sooner.

  • No ad trackers

This site runs no ad pixels or third-party trackers, and your film is never used in our marketing.

What a Yearlight film is

A Yearlight film is made from photos of one person taken across their life, or of a couple with Premiere or Heirloom. Your photos are the anchors: AI draws the motion from each one to the next, so the film moves from the earliest photo to the latest in one continuous take, with no cuts. Every film ends with a credit that says it was made with AI. It’s made for a big screen at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and memorials, or to give as a gift.

Before you start

How many photos do I need?
Up to 10, 20 or 40, depending on the plan. Choose clear photos spread across the years, with more from childhood, when people change quickly.
How long does it take?
Your storyboard appears as soon as your photos are in order. The film takes longer: we show its progress while it’s made and tell you when it’s ready. Before an event, leave time for re-shoots and a test at the venue.
What if a moment doesn’t look like them?
Re-shoot it, within your plan’s rounds. If it still doesn’t, don’t approve the film: until you do, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of ordering.
Will it play at the venue?
You get a wide 1080p MP4 for the screen and a tall version for phones. Test it on the venue’s own setup first.
What happens to my photos?
They’re used only to make your film. We delete them 30 days after it’s delivered, and you can delete everything sooner.
